Review of Paint Spot: By Jeanette

Looking for something different to do with my 2 year old with the rainy weather we have been having, we decided to check out Paint Spot off of Shelbyville Rd. I have been to these types of places before with friends, but never with my kids. It turned out to be a lot of fun. If you haven’t ever been to one of these places, you pick out a piece of pottery, paint it, and the staff will fire it for you.
The staff there was super nice considering I walked in with my 7 week old on the fussy side along with my toddler. We got there shortly after they opened at 10, so we were the only ones there. The staff helped get everything ready since I had my hands a little full with my kids. They have aprons for the kids to wear too, but if they are shy like mine and decided not to wear it, the paints are all washable. We picked out our piece and my son went to town painting. When he was done, the staff helped paint his hand to make a handprint on his piece. It takes a week for them to fire it so we look forward to seeing what it looks like next week.
Check out their website for discount days and other events. I will definitely keep this in mind to do again near holidays and birthdays
