Labor Day Weekend WorldFest in Louisville By: Jeanette

If you are sticking around the Louisville area this holiday weekend, I recommend checking out the free event, WorldFest. We attended last year and had a great time! The highlight for us was trying out a huge variety of food while listening to music. It is hosted at the Belvedere. The Worldfest is a chance to celebrate the different cultures in Louisville. There is a parade of cultures that will be held on Saturday at noon. Other activities include 4 stages with music and dancing, and opportunities to purchase some crafts and cuisines of the various cultures. The festival will have some children’s events such as storytimes, face painting, and LMPD display. Checkout the website for times for children’s events and what will be on the 4 stages while you are there.

We went this year and had a wonderful time, even though we weren't there at parade time (I bet that is cool.) I posted a few pictures from the event on my blog. It will be on our calendar every year from now on. Oh my, the food! swoon...
