Enjoy Brown County, IN

Looking for a day trip with great scenic fall views? Brown County, IN provides just that. They even have a leaf cam that keeps you up-to-date daily with the fall colors. I have to admit that I am partial to this area having grown up near there. Brown County State Park, the largest state park in Indiana, has great scenic views, trails, and if you are staying in the lodge an indoor aquatic center. Close to the park is Nashville which is known as a historic artist colony. Brown County’s visitor’s website has lots of fall activities for all ages too.

Although I recommend checking out Brown County, be prepared to wait in traffic and be with lots of other people who want to enjoy the rolling hills of southern Indiana during peak fall season – especially on weekends. So if you can not make it this fall season, it is still a great little get away the rest of the year.
