Review of Outside In Family Fun Center in Jeffersonville, IN By: Stephanie

I took a short drive across the river to Indiana to check out a family-run indoor activity center.  Without school, my kids are really needing to get out of the house!  Outside In is conventiently located on Hamburg Pike.  Heading north, take exit 5 off of I65, make a right on Veterans and a left at the light for Hamburg Pike. The place will be on your left.

It was $6 for each of my kids to play.  That includes the bouncy area and a downstairs toddler area for kids under 4.  They offer group rates: $4 per child that is part of a group of 12 or more (mornings only).  They also have a family special that includes lunch: 4 drinks, 1 pizza & 2 play passes for $20.  Additionally, you can purchase a punch card that brings each visit down to $5. Note, they have concessions and do not allow outside food or beverages.

We went into the bouncies first. They had 3 inflatable. I smaller slide, one basic bounce house and 1 large inflatable maze with a larger slide.  My kids enjoyed all three! Also on the main floor are rooms for birthday parties, video games, the concessions and eating area and bathrooms.

After about 30 minutes of bouncing. We ventured downstairs to the toddler area.  This area, along with the rest of the establishment, was very clean and seemed really new or just refinished.  There is carpeting and the poles are padded.  There are 2 identical inflatables that are toddler size.  They also have several toys to play with including a ride on train track with 2 trains, teeter totters, inflatable/soft sports equipment, plastic picnic tables and other ride ons and toddler toys.  There is also a bathroom downstairs.  My kids played down there for at least an hour so that speaks to how much fun they were having!  The only issue I had, and not a big one at that, was that I am highly sensitive to smells and I think the inflatable must be new as I could smell a plastic-type odor that gave me a little headache.  Some people may not even notice this though, I am really sensitive to smells! And even if so, this "new inflatable" smell is not going to be around forever!

Before we left, we went upstairs for some more bouncing. During this time, I met and spoke with one of the owners, Angie.  She was very outgoing and helpful. She and her husband run this fun center and I love the idea that a family is in charge!  My son has asked several times today to go back to the place with the Spider Man bouncy and the logging trains :)

As you can see from their website, they also offer party supply rentals. And, in the warmer months, they have miniature golf and pedal cars outside!  They are also on facebook and update their season hours or have specials posted on their page. They also have a Groupon for 1/1/11
