Things to Do in Louisville In January 2011 By: Jeanette

Louisville Family Fun January 2011:  We hope one of your new resolutions is to let us help you and your family find family fun in the Louisville area and to pass LFF on to your friends. We want you to spend more time having fun and less time searching for it!

Highlights for January

January 1-2
Annual New Year's Eve and Day Pajama Party at Lynn's Paradise Cafe
Entertainment & fun both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Celebrate in your PJ's all day long for two days!!! Everyone in the Pajamas will receive a "special" gift!

Noon Year Celebration at Louisville Science Center
Say farewell to 2010 and our latest exhibit, Sesame Street Presents: The Body, as we ring in the New Year. We’ll create party hats using a mathematician’s tools, build noisemakers and discover how sound is created, dance to family-friendly music and engineer balloons for a noon-time balloon drop to ring in 2011. Elmo will make a special appearance (to welcome the new year), so don’t forget your camera!
January 7-9
First Friday Trolley Hop

A Birthday Celebration for Mary Ingalls at APH for the Blind.
Come to the Museum to explore the sounds and smells, the textures and tastes, of Mary's world. Sing along with some of Pa's fiddle tunes, weave a beaded bracelet (the same as those Mary made for her sisters), and have some birthday cake made from Ma's recipe. Come in costume and participate in our Ingalls Family Look-Alike Contest. Free to the public, but registration is required. Call 899-2213 to register. For all ages.
