Review of Kingpin Lanes in Louisville By: Stephanie

Kingpin Lanes is located in Jeffersontown Commons on Taylorsville Rd.  My kids and I, along with my parents, spent a recent rainy afternoon there bowling and playing.  They are open 7 days a week and it's a very large facility with lanes on both sides and a cafe in the middle.

It was just under $25 for 6 of us to bowl 2 games and rent shoes (5 shoe rentals).  We used a coupon that we found on their website.  When you pay, they will put in everyone's names and if you have kids with you, they will ask if they want bumpers.  Then, when you play, when it is the child's turn, the bumper pop up automatically. They also have little ramps that the kids can use to help them bowl.

My mother ordered a salad and I was really surprised at what I saw when they brought it out to her. For less than $5, this salad was huge, fresh and had such a nice variety of ingredients.  We didn't order anything else, but from the looks of that salad and the care put into making it, I bet the rest of the food is made just as well.
The kids and I ventured into the video arcade. It was spacious and clean with numerous games. You can purchase tokens to use and tickets come out of the games to be redeemed for prizes.
We went for casual bowling but I noticed that they also have live music and karaoke at different times. There is a room when you first enter that looks like it's perfect for some nightlife entertainment, with pool tables as well.  They even have a little room for mini-bowling with scaled down lanes.  They also host birthday parties for kids or adults.  It's a full service fun place!
On a rainy, snowy or day that's just too hot to be outside, head indoors to Kingpin Lanes and have a ball!  Tell them we sent you!
