2011 Summer Movies in Louisville and Surrounding Area

Forget about spending lots of money on the blockbuster movies this summer! Enjoy spending less on movies by seeing movies free or cheap both indoors and outdoors this summer! Check out these flicks this summer with the family!

$2 Movie Tuesday - All year long at Dupont Village 8. Take the kids and their friends and you’ll instantly be supermom and won’t have to take out a loan to do it. Watch second-run movies at Village 8 in Dupont for $3 during a matinee. On Tuesdays, admission is only $2.00!

Georgetown Drive-in – 60 Cents/person opening weekend only – April 22 To Celebrate 60 years Georgetown drive-in is having 60 cents general admission for opening weekend! It is about a 30min drive from Louisville.

Metro Council Movie Nights at Iroquois Amphitheater-FREE- starting May 13 with Toy Story 3 at 8:30pm.
Twilight Movies – FREE - at Riverstage in Jeffersonville starts June 4 with Despicable Me. Movies begin at dusk. Check out the website for the movies that will be playing.

Monday Movie Nights at Iroquois Amphitheater –FREE - starting May 16 with The Princess and the Frog at 8:30pm.

Friday Night Movies at Norton Commons – FREE - Starting May 20.

Zoovie Night Series – Members FREE, $5 for non-members starts June 3 with Yogi Bear. Field opens at 6pm and movies begin at sundown. There is free entertainment before the show.

Great Escapes FREE Movies in New Albany (W & Th); Oldham County (T & W); River Falls Clarksville (M & T) and Simpsonville (T,W, Th)

Rave Movie theaters free Family movies! Tuesdays and Wednedays at 10am.

Cards Under the Stars: A Family movie will be shown on a large inflatable screen on the University of Louisville Belknap campus, next to Grawemeyer Hall. There will also be inflatable rides for the children and entertainment. Activities begin at 6:30PM and the movie begins at dusk. Movies are TBA

What about Tinseltown (I think they have 10 movies, 1 each week) in the summer for $1 each show.

Or the River Falls in Clarksville has free kids movies in the summers too.

And the Preston Crossings theater gives free movies in the summer for book reports (I think).
