Back to School Savings from Walmart

According to the National Retail Federation’s (NRF) annual back-to-school report, the average spent on school supplies with household incomes of less than $50k with 1-4 children, will be about $83.92. In fact, the NRF reports, families will spend less or about the same as they did last year on back to school needs for their children. (NRF 2011 Back To School Report) Walmart has the solution for families on a tight budget this back to school, with a back-to-school backpack and essential supplies for less than $25 per child. Walmart offers low prices every day on everything families need to get ready for school – from a broad assortment of school supplies and backpacks to sporty and basic apparel to the latest electronics.


Walmart sent me a sample (woo hoo!) and this is what you can get for less than $25:

Fill Walmart’s Everything Backpack with 10 essential school supplies featured on school supply lists. This is just a fun sample for the families!

· Everything Backpack - $13.88: Walmart’s Everything Backpack is an all-in-one backpack which includes a removable lunch bag that clips on the bag, and matching stationery kit for just $13.88. Other retailers sell a similar product for $30 or more. The Everything Backpack will make life a little easier since kids don’t have to worry about squished lunches in their backpacks.

· Back To School Poly 1-inch Binder (variety of colors) – 60 cents

· Portfolio folder (variety of colors) -15 cents

We did our Back to School shopping at Walmart this year. This prices were great and most everything was in great supply. Now, if there was just some way to thin out the crowd. It was so busy!
