Things to do this weekend in and around Louisville September 16,17,18

We are mid-way through September and I hope it's been a great month so far.  Want to make it even better? Get out with the family this weekend!

Here are my picks for things to do this weekend in Kentuckiana.

Over all of the days, attend a Gaslight Festival event.  There's tons to choose from. You can go to the parade today(Thurs), the Balloon Glow Friday or the vendor area to explore arts and crafts or hear some live music while you have some yummy food.  Or, maybe the car show is more your speed.  Check out the calendar of events

PhotobucketOn Friday night, you can try our Hwang's Martial arts and have some family fun.  They are having an open house of sorts.  It's at all 4 locations starting at 6:30pm.  There will be games, food and the kids can try out some martial arts. This is a great way to see if you want to enroll a child in this kind of activity. Just $5 to give it a try.

Saturday is overwhelming. There are so many choices.  We are going to Disney on Ice!  2 other great choices are the Antique and Railroad Festival in LaGrange, this article tells you all about it. Or,  you can catch a show, Into the Woods, at the Clarksville Little Theater at 8pm.

Sunday, Head on out to the 100 Years on the Ohio event.  Admission is: $6/Adults; $5/Seniors (60+); $3/Children (6-12). Family rate: $15 (2 adults with up to 3 children).  and it's from 10am-5pm (It's also on Saturday).  Your admission buys you tours, activities, parades, re-enactments and more.  Details on their website.   Or, for a free option, head outside with your family to Tyler Park in the Highlands (great park!) and enjoy free jazz music starting at 4pm

I hope you have a fabuLOUs weekend with your family and that Louisville Family Fun plays a part in making that happen.
