JCC Summer Camp offers traditional camp for kids 20 months through 6th grade with arts ’n’ crafts, sports, free swim, swim lessons and more!
Children 2 years old receive private swim lessons twice a week, children 3 and 4 years old receive group
swim lessons three times a week and children in Kindergarten through 3rd grade receive group swim
lessons daily.
Specialty camps are also offered which include: Football, Soccer, Theatre, Dance, Horseback Riding, Lego, Sailing and more. All specialty camps swim once a day.
Also, Middle School students have their own camps which include: Community Service, and Counselor
in Training program.

PhotobucketThe Temple Preschool Summer Camp provides a quality summer enrichment program with an environment that encourages intellectual, social-emotional, spiritual and physical experiences for the preschool child, age 2-Kindergarten.  This goal will be met by providing a variety of daily activities which will include indoor and outdoor play, games, teacher directed activities, small group activities, art much, cooking projects, and special visitors.  Additionally, every week we will have a water play day with a water table, bubbles, sprinklers and other water activities.  Each week we will spend time reading children’s stories and creating projects relating to the theme.  Our highly qualified and experienced staff will be leading the children in age appropriate activities.   The Temple is conveniently located in the East End, just minutes from the Watterson Expressway and the Gene Snyder.  Call 423-1444 for more information about the Summer Camp and Preschool Enrollment.

Woodworking Camp (half-day) June 18 to 22 Ages 11-14 - 9:30am – 11:30am Ages 7-10 - 12:30pm – 2:30pm Cost: $85 ($75 Locust Grove members) Build a birdhouse, or a stool, or another fun project out of wood.

Nature Camp at Locust Grove (full day) in collaboration with the Jefferson County Memorial Forest Monday, June 25 – Friday, June 29 Camp Day: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, Pick-up: 4:00 pm - 4:30 pm Ages 6-12 Cost: $195 Travel back in time more than 100 years to discover nature and people through Locust Grove. Pioneer Camp (half-day) July 9 to 13, 9:00am – 12:00pm Ages 7-10 Cost: $90 ($80 Locust Grove members) Explore the past through crafts, hands-on activities, and demonstrations.

Book Arts Workshop for Kids (2 full days) Ages 9 - 13 Dates: Monday, July 16 & Tuesday, July 17  9:00 am - 4:00 pm Cost: $85 ($75 Locust Grove members) Make your own book! A two-day workshop in the art and technique of making books, papermaking, printing, binding, stamping, paper marbling, and more.

Junior Re-enactor Camp (half-day) Tuesday, July 24- Thursday, July 26 9:00 am-12:00 noon Ages 10-14 Cost: $60 ($50 Locust Grove members. In this 3-day camp, junior historians will learn the basics of re-enacting the past.

Introduce your child to dance with arts, crafts and new friends! Louisville Ballet School offers workshops designed to develop coordination, musicality, and kinetic awareness, as well as instill a love for dance and the arts.

Children (ages 3-5) will discover an exciting mix of creative dance, arts and crafts, and narrative storytelling through movement – all inspired by the wonderful world around us.

Children (ages 6-8) will explore a blend of creative dance and pre-ballet exercises along with visual art projects to discover the art of storytelling through dance while sharing in the traditions of the full-length classical ballets.

Students (ages 8-13) with prior dance experience will discover the art of storytelling through dance while learning traditional folk dances, repertoire from full-length classical ballets, and dance styles including modern, character dance, Flamenco, and Pilates.

Students (ages 11-16) with previous dance training will experience the exciting life of a professional dancer - joining in the grand tradition of classical ballet by learning repertoire from full-length classical ballets as well as exploring contemporary dance styles to enhance strength and versatility.

KidArt Camp- The Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft is excited to offer a new format for summer camps this year. We will be offering both morning and afternoon sessions; Morning sessions will introduce kids to a variety of media with a different project each day. Afternoon sessions will offer more in-depth learning on a focused subject. Kids will have the option of attending one or both sessions each week. Kids staying all day will have lunch from 12:00-1:00.

$85 Members/$100 non-members per half-day session

June 11th-15th

Afternoon session (1:00-4:00) – Clay Focus (grades 1-6)

June 25th-29th

BLACKACRE ART WEEK - July 23rd-27th - Grades 6th-8th - 9:15-4:15 - $160 without bus, $180 with bus. Blackacre Art Week is a week long day-camp for middle school students with an interest in art and nature. Set at beautiful Blackacre Nature Preserve in eastern Louisville, this exciting summer camp gives kids the opportunity to create art with four professional artists, while exploring the beauty of the preserve.
