Things to do this weekend around Louisville December 7,8,9

The holiday cheer is in full force, we do need Mother Nature to cooperate and send us some chilly weather and fluffy white flakes. I want to wear my cozy scarf and favorite gloves while holding a hot mocha.  Now, that's something I want to do this weekend!

What is going on around town?

Here are my picks......

Friday at Locust Grove you can combine history with holiday cheer and for a maximum family admission price of $18, your family can return back to 1809 at their Candlelight Christmas event.  Crafts for the kids, music and dancing and food!  I love when you can sneak learning experiences into family fun.  I was a school teacher back in the day folks.

Saturday at the Louisville Nature Center you can make your own wreath or swag. I think this would be a great activity for family to do together if they have teens.  It's $25 for wreaths and $20 for swags for non-members.

Saturday is also the Old Tyme Christmas Celebration along Frankfort Ave which features something for everyone.  Horse and carriage rides, trolley rides, a living nativity, story time and more!

Sunday would be a great day to head downtown. Maybe in the afternoon you can head to Fourth Street Live and do some skating, eat at one of the restaurants for an early dinner, take a horse and carriage ride, enjoy Christmas at the Galt House and then end the evening with a stroll down 4th Street when it's dark to see the lights show! BONUS-free parking on the street on Sundays!

Have a fabuLOUs weekend and don't forget to mark your calendar for Dec. 20th 6-7:30pm for the LouFamFun 3rd Birthday at the Jeffersonville Outdoor Ice Rink! Details posting very soon.
