Things to do this weekend in and around Louisville - June 21,22,23

There's so many options! I browsed the LouFamFun website calendar up and down to make my picks! Definitely explore the calendar because these are just my personal choices for what I think will surely be fun for all.

Head on up to Goshen for a free outdoor movie - details here. The fun starts at 7pm at North Oldham Baptist Church with concessions and free popcorn but the movie doesn't start until a little after 9pm. It's Madagascar 3! Or, head to the FridayFest in Highview park. It features local music, and community socializing from 6-10pm. Family friendly summer concerts and movies, YEAH!

Saturday, start your day out with some fresh goodies from a farmer's market. I think the St. Matthews Farmer's Market  (8am -noon) is not only a fantastic place to shop for produces and other farm goods but very entertaining for the kids. Since it's rather large, there's lots to looks at and a buzz that makes it fun for the whole family.  I mean, look at this map of all of the vendors!

If you follow this blog and have for a while, you know that I am a huge fan of any event that provides some educational opportunities as well as entertainment and this one I found is really unique.  What a great way to show kids what BICENTENNIAL means but taking them back in time? On Sunday there's a Vintage Bicycle Exhibit and Parade at Bicentennial Park corner of Pearl and Spring in New Albany. The exhibit starts at 11:30, there's a Parade on Main Street at 1:45 and a free ice cream social at Division Street School from 2-4pm.  Now, that is a different event, love it!

There's my picks, something for each day - you can't do it all (although I try).
