Things to do this weekend around Louisville - June 28,29,30

It's the last weekend in June and it's hot, the evening storms keep rolling through and my kids have a few extra freckles on their faces.  Looking for things to do to let your June go out with a BANG?

How about some fireworks?
There are 2 events going on this weekend to celebrate Independence Day - see the details here.
They take place in Norton Commons and Riverview Park. Fun times on both ends of the city!
And, one on Sunday at Middletown United Methodist Church -from 3-8pm
(I think this one does not feature fireworks)

Plan your 4th of July family fun with this post

What else?
Bryant's Blueberries has fresh, juicy blueberries ready for the picking! They have listed on their website that they will be open on Saturday for picking!  You need cash or check and it's $2.25 per pound.  You should probably bring your own pans for transporting the blueberries home!  It's about 30 miles from downtown Louisville. See our past review by clicking here.
Directions per their website: From Louisville or New Albany: Take I-64 west to the Georgetown Exit (#118). Go right (west) on SR 64 for 10 miles. Turn left on Oak Park Rd (opposite Insight Eye Care-before New Salisbury stop light!) 1 mile on left.

Those are my picks!  Not happy with then, well, fine. Make your own picks via our calendar above that has many many more options. Or, hang out at home and create your own family fun - I have some ideas pinned on my summer board on Pinterest.
