Things to do this weekend around Louisville - September 6,7,8

Well, I don't know if I can compete with our post from yesterday. Did you see that?  Wow, what a list of Fall Festivals compiled by the fabuLOUs Erin.  Mad props to Erin. Yes, I just said "mad props" and I am about to say....WORD. Love that post, just let me enjoy my overuse of slang, ok?

I am totally picking the Parklands events.  They are opening a 677 acres and throwing a bunch of celebratory events.  There's going to be a balloon glow on Friday from 7-9pm, sweet! And, on Saturday from 10-3pm, they'll have folks there with native KY animals, there's fly fishing lesson and more. Full list here.  Want to learn more about the Parklands - check out this video, you might see someone you recognize ;)

Saturday night, I think it would be fun to hit the Middletown Family Fun Festival because Kudmani is playing (great concert starting at 6:30pm!) and  the night ends in fireworks. Totally free :)

If you need to do some shopping, the Rhea Lana consignment sale starting on the 7th in New Albany, deals to be had.

photo flyer1_zpsda370dec.jpgSunday, the Louisville Children's Museum is having a family picnic at Locust Grove form 11:30am-3:30pm.

There will be fun period activities for families, food for purchase from local food trucks, music by Louisville Leopard Percussionists and it's just $6 per car to help raise funds for the children's museum effort.  The first 30 cars get a freebie!

Have a wonderful weekend! I will be playing my soccer-mom role on Saturday and tutoring my heart out of Sunday like I usually do - no rest for Mrs. LouFamFun.
