You are getting desperate, aren't you?  You NEED this weather to cooperate.  Well, I just checked the various news stations for the weekend weather and really, it's depressing.  One of them has listed a low of 7 degrees.  Ummmm, is it April yet?

Let's just pretend I didn't see those nasty numbers and pictures of snowy things on their radar. I'm going to think positive and give you my picks for the weekend assuming all will be fine and dandy.

Learn about the Kentucky Xtreme on this week's LouFamFun podcast on Louisville.am

Friday:
Oh how we adore Dr. Korie and her staff at Derby City Pediatric Dentistry. They are offering FREE DENTAL CARE!!! February 7 - kids with no insurance will get free dental cleanings and treatment if needed. If you or any one you know does not have insurance for your kids please call Derby City Pediatric Dentistry at 502-254-6097 and schedule a time for your child. Space is limited so call ASAP. There is no gimmicks, no secret fees, it's all free!

In the evening, try something different. Head to Freedom Hall and amp it up for FREE (still have to pay for parking) and see the USA BMX Bluegrass Nationals. Races start at 5pm on Friday, through the weekend.

Saturday:
Capes & Crowns to support the Kids Center for Pediatric Therapy is at the Ice House from 6-9pm.  Your tickets will help them raise the funds they need to keep doing what they do best, help local kids!  You can get discount tickets for being a LouFamFun reader. See ticket and event info here.

Sunday:
FREE Movies at the new 4-Story Digital Theater at the Kentucky Science Center.  This does not include admission to the museum but you can go and see a movie in their newly renovated, super cool theater for FREE this weekend. I'm suggesting Sunday because it's probably going to be less crowded and you know it's harder to find things to do on Sunday.  All of the info about the free movies is here. Get their early to get a ticket for the show you want!

If you are thinking of going to the Kosair Shrine Circus, the Sunday 10am and 7pm shows are great for saving some money! They have $10 tickets for those shows - sold at the Broadbent Arena box office, limited number available.

And.........those are my picks.  Check out our web calendar above for more ideas.

Stephanie
