Friday:  It's the 4th Annual Urban Wilderness Canoe Adventures Shawnee Park. It's free and goes from 10:30 a.m to 4 p.m. - perfect for those who are new to canoeing. All safety equipment and trained staff are provided. The event is open to anyone ages 3 and older. Wear comfortable outdoor clothing that can get wet; no flip flops. Participants under the age of 18 MUST have a waiver signed by a legal guardian.

Saturday: Step back in time and learn about Lewis & Clark, who have make Clarksville a special place in history.  Head to the festival to celebrate Lewis & Clark from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Sunday also). It takes place at the George Rogers Clark homesite and will include reenactors, demonstrations food and more! And, a special puppet show at noon and 3 p.m. It's all free.



 photo LFF 300 x 200 px Haunted Hike 2016 banner_zpskpqm9nsn.jpgSunday: You know we love the Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve and this is one of our favorite events - The Haunted Hike.  It is an important fundraiser for them. The fee is $6 (free for children 2 & under). They will have inflatables, it's an extra fee. They will have food for purchase as well.  The haunted house is totally family-friendly and the fantasy kiddie trail through the woods is a blast. Candy, fun - let's kick off October!
