This is a big weekend for holiday events, but not everything...........

This looks so cool and cold but I think it you prepare, it will be fine! Layer up, bring lots of blankets and wear warm shoes. There's a Geminid Meteor Shower Program from 8:00pm to 10:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Forest.  Look for shooting stars whizzing overhead with one of their naturalists. They'll also have a guided cosmic hike and hot chocolate and coffee will be available. They'll have telescopes set up. Pre-registration required, call 368-5404. It's$8 per person.

Head to New Albany for an Old-Fashioned Christmas featuring Victorian carolers through downtown, rides in a horse-drawn carriages, a lovely bell choir performance, and unique boutiques and stores with retro storefronts decorations fit for the season. It runs from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. in downtown New Albany. It's free and food will be available for purchase.

I have to be honest, I may or may not have chosen this event because I wanted to say Schnitzelburg. Say it, it's kind of funny and makes me smile!  Santa and the Schnitzelburg Area Community Council are celebrating the holiday season! Meet at Emerson Park under the Jim King Gazebo for hot chocolate, snacks, and holiday cheer at 5:30. Kids can sit on Santa's lap for photos. Then, everyone will walk along Hickory Street and sing Christmas carols together. So simple and fun.

P.S. - Tune in! Stephanie and Dan talk about career shifts - the gal we interview used to fit bras and now she's all about burgers.
