Review of Cherokee Park: By Jeanette

Cherokee is another great park in Louisville for a picnic, to exercise, or just to be outside to enjoy nature. There are several amenities there from dog runs, archery range, multiple playgrounds with bathroom facilities nearby, and mountain bike trails to name a few. The playground we like to frequent has both baby swings and regular along with smaller play area and a splash area. The splash area is concrete though. There are also plenty of picnic tables and a covered area there with shade trees. We park in the parking lot and I’ll take the boys for a walk/jog around the 2.4mile one way Scenic Loop (which is another reason I really like the park) and then end up at the playground.
