Kentucky’s Lincoln Heritage Trail

Did you know Kentucky has a Lincoln Heritage Trail?  In celebration of Abraham Lincoln’s Birthday (February 12) and President’s Day (February 21), this would be a fun road trip to discover the people, places, and events that influenced Abraham Lincoln’s legacy. The trail has stops in Louisville, Frankfort, Lexington, Springfield, and Hodgenville covering his birthplace, boyhood home, as well as a couple of battlefields.
From the Kentucky Lincoln Heritage Trail’s Website:

“Witness for yourself his humble beginnings with a visit to the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site, which includes a replica of the one-room log cabin in which he was born. Continue your exploration along the trail and experience how Kentucky and Kentuckians influenced Lincoln’s childhood, ideals and presidency.”
