Family Book time for March – Dr. Seuss

DCPD

photo seusslibrary_zps044b0600.pngOn Friday, March 1, the Main Library location of the Louisville Free Public Library is hosting a Dr. Seuss Family Pajama Party! Step into the library after hours for a Seuss-extravaganza. The pj party is from 6pm-8pm and will include anything and everything Seuss! From wacky crafts, games, and activities to Seuss snacks, this is a sure bet for fun for families. And when is the last time you were in the library after it closed?? Be sure to wear your pajamas! Check out the website or call 502-574-1620 for more information.

Through the Kohl’s Cares charity, Louisville Family Fun received some cool prizes in keeping with the theme of Dr. Seuss and his birthday, which is March 2. Stay tuned for another opportunity to attend a Dr. Seuss story time while supporting the fundraising efforts of the Louisville Children’s Museum at the same time. Mark your calendars for March 20th at 10:30am to enjoy some story time at The Parent-Teacher Store. LFF will be giving away four great prizes at the story time, courtesy of Kohl’s. Kohl’s donates 100% of the profits of its plush toys and books, “Hats Off to Helping Kids,” to kid’s health and education initiatives all over the United States.

Also check out the Library’s annual Read with Me program. It is a self-contained reading program that encourages preschool and kindergarten-aged children and families to create a habit of reading together. Pick up a Read with Me flier and sticker sheet at any LFPL library location and start reading today.
