Review of Jtown Beach

Visit Jtown Beach for volleyball, food, music and family fun in Jeffersontown.

I have twice visited Jtown Beach, a local establishment in the heart of Jeffersontown. Once I went during the day with my two children, and the other visit my husband and I were restaurant/bar hopping through Jeffersontown on a date night.

Jtown Beach is a local sports bar/restaurant that opened about a year ago in the heart of Jeffersontown. The main draw to this establishment is the opportunity to play adult sand volleyball. During the spring and summer, adults 18+ can sign up to play on a volleyball league at Jtown Beach. The fun thing for families is that they can go hang out as spectators, while enjoying an adult beverage or some Comfy Cow ice cream! It’s a very family-friendly place in the early evening hours. Kids can play with sand toys in the sandbox area near the courts and enjoy ice cream.

On the weekends, Jtown Beach has grill going most of the time with hot dogs and burgers for sale. A lot of nights last summer I saw social media posts about Jamaican jerk chicken dinners being served up, and I think food trucks frequent the area as well.

If you are interested in coed adult volleyball spring leagues, now is the time to register. According to the Jtown Beach Facebook page, the cost is $240 per team for a 10-week league, which also includes a tournament week. Visit the Jtown Beach website for more information and to sign up for spring, summer, and fall leagues.

They also host trivia nights and it’s a lively place to enjoy a game on TV with your date for the evening. Jtown Beach has that outdoor patio feel, so for the warmer spring and summer months. Unwind with your significant other or friends and sip a drink at a picnic table while watching an entertaining volleyball scrimmage or taking a turn at some karaoke!

Jtown Beach is located at 10315 Watterson Trail. Their hours fluctuate and will change once spring and summer arrive, so check their Facebook page for the most up to date information; it looks like they currently open most evenings at 5pm. Most food and drink items are within the $$ price range.
