Love at First Bite

Love at First Bite bakery on Dixie Highway offers ready-made treats, custom orders and more!

Love at First Bite has been open since March of this year and I recently stopped by to sample some of their goodies. The bakery is easy to miss so make sure to slow down and look carefully so you don’t pass it up! The treats and flavors available at Love at First Bite vary day to day. On my visit offerings included chocolate, lemon, vanilla, cookies and cream, and peanut butter chocolate cupcakes. I was told that the best sellers tend to be their brownies and sugar cookie sandwiches. While I didn’t try the brownies, the sugar cookie sandwiches were fantastic! I brought home my box of sweets and let my family try them out and they were all super happy that I didn’t eat everything before making it home (they made my car smell fabulous).

Love at First Bite also sells ice cream cones, slices of cakes, and the Superman Wrap which is superman ice cream wrapped in cotton candy with Nella swirls and sprinkles- whoa! They also make cakes for birthdays, weddings, wedding showers, baby reveal parties, graduations, and a lot more! While browsing their Facebook page after my visit I noticed that they had made a Fortnite cake. I decided to order one for my son’s upcoming birthday. Love at First Bite required payment in full when I placed the order. The cake was ready on time, it looked great and tasted even better! The Fortnite cake was a huge hit at the party!

In previous months, Love at First Bite has also hosted some cake decorating classes including a Mommy and Me class and a Fortnite Gamer Mommy and Me class. Watch for more classes to be offered on their Facebook page!

Love at First Bite is located at 6100 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40258 near Johnsontown Road and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00am-6:00pm.
