Spring has arrived and it’s Kentucky Derby Festival time! Louisville is teeming with things to do this time of year. Find your FREE April fun here!

Returning in for free events in April 2022: Shakespeare in the Parks Tour; times and locations vary.
Saturday, April 2: Enjoy some UofL Men’s Soccer for FREE at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium, game starts at 7:00pm.
Saturday, April 9: Check out the Frazier History Museum for their Family Day: Breaking Barriers. Join us for a fun-filled Saturday of crafts, storytimes, kid-friendly tours, and special guests! (*Free to families with children 18 and under in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Please be sure to mention this Free Family Day initiative at the Admissions desk on the day of the event.) 10am-2pm
Sunday, April 10: South Louisville Art Crawl starts at 2:00PM with a FREE trolley tour featuring local businesses and artists, beginning in the Iroquois Amphitheater Parking Lot. Finish the night with a free performance of Julius Ceasar by Kentucky Shakespeare in Iroquois Park Louisville, KY.
Sunday, April 10: Come “Be My Neighbor” in Louisville! In partnership with PNC and Fred Rogers Productions, KET proudly presents Be My Neighbor Day on Sunday, April 10 at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park from 12 – 4 p.m. This free family event builds on the values and themes presented in Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and introduces children to caring neighbors and community helpers while teaching them the importance of giving back.
Saturday, April 16: Puppy Palooza at Westport Village from 11am-2pm. Bring your furry friends to join us for a paw-some afternoon.
Saturday, April 16: Spring Street Festival, 2-11pm, The Alcove at 246 Spring Street. Music, food, and family fun!
Saturday, April 16: Block Party, this free event, debuting with the support of Churchill Downs and Humana and the Derby Festival’s Derby Equity Community Initiative (DECI), will be held at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center and will feature food trucks, a marketplace, live entertainment, and more!
Saturday, April 23: Celebrate Dia de los Ninos with stories, crafts and a bilingual book giveaway. Iroquois Library, 10:30-11:30am.
Saturday, April 23: Party in the Park is a FREE family festival in the Shepherdsville City Park. Bounce houses, face paint, balloon animals, Kona Ice–all completely FREE!! There will also be food trucks, craft vendors, and more.
Saturday, April 23: Jeffersontown Art + Culture Fest at Veterans Memorial Park from 9am-3pm. Come and experience a day full of music, art, food and more as we celebrate all the different communities that make up our beautiful city.
Sunday, April 24: The Farmers Market at Norton Common opens for the season! The hours are 12-4 pm and it will be open every Sunday. Norton Commons is a great neighborhood for walking and boasts multiple playgrounds and locally-owned businesses. Additional Farmers Markets around Louisville can be found here.
Saturday, April 30 (and May 1): Cherokee Triangle Art Fair, Artists and food vendor booths will be located on the streets surrounding Willow Park, in the Cherokee Triangle neighborhood (Cherokee Parkway between Willow Ave. and Cherokee Rd.). Live music performances will take place in the Willow Park gazebo.
