Free ‘Be My Neighbor’ event

Families are invited to join KET for the free “Be My Neighbor Day,” which builds on values and themes presented in the PBS KIDS series Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood.

This Be My Neighbor event is in it’s 6th year and very popular with families. Do you have a child that loves Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood? This is a fantastic free events for families to show kids how wonderful it is to give back to the community. 

Enjoy arts and crafts, and meet-and-greets with caring neighbors including Louisville-area first responders and other community helpers, such as librarians, postal workers, live music, snacks, nature activities and more!

Inspired by the themes of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, “Be My Neighbor Day” teaches children the importance of being a caring neighbor.

Sunday, September 25 from 12 to 4 pm. 
Registration is required.

They have changed the location of this event from year to year. For 2022, the events will be at: E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park

You can make a day of it at Tom Sawyer Park. Pack a picnic for a lunch spot in the shade, take a hike around the path or off the paths into the trails. There is also a playground and plenty of green space for frisbees, balls, running and good outdoor fun.
